Votes and elections
Citizens regularly participate in cantonal, federal, and municipal votes and elections. These ballots allow everyone to express their opinion on political matters and to choose representative authorities. Here you will find all practical information regarding voting and the procedures involved.
How to Vote?
Principle
Each voter receives all the necessary voting materials at their home. This includes a new voting card for each ballot, which must be signed by the voter and also include their date of birth.
All ballot papers, regardless of level (federal, cantonal, or municipal) and subject, must be placed in the yellow voting envelope. « Loose » ballots will not be counted.
The voting materials (sealed voting envelope + voting card) must be returned using the grey return envelope, in accordance with the instructions on its reverse, and must reach the Municipal Registry no later than the Friday before the ballot day.
Voters also have the option of depositing their unfranked return envelope in the external mailbox at the Municipal House (to the left of the entrance) until 11:00 a.m. on the Sunday of the vote, when the polling office closes.
Polling Station
Voters may always go in person to the polling station to fulfil their civic duty. They must bring with them the voting materials received at home.
